2003 Dijon Clones Pinot Noir

This pinot Noir represents several Dijon clones, rootstocks and blocks throughout our vineyard. We believe each of these clone and rootstock combinations, along with different block locations, contribute unique qualities to the blend. The result is enhanced complexity and captivating layers of flavors and textures.

this wine represents the elegant side of Pinot Noir. The blend consists of Dijon clones 115 (34%), 113 (31%), 777 (18%), 114 (11%) and 667 (6%). The combined yield of these 6 blocks was under one ton per acre. The wine is very perfumed and continues to develop aromas in the glass. The palate is laced with raspberries, dark cherries, chocolate and spice. This finish is rich and firm with youthful tannin. Although the wine is enjoyable now, we foresee enhanced beauty and finesse with 3 to 5 years of cellaring.

We believe this is a wonderful wine to pair with food. Pinot Noir is one of the most food friendly wines, and this Dijon Clone Pinot Noir is on point. Some of Our favorite culinary pairings with this wine are game birds such as pheasant and quail, roast salmon, risotto and especially sautéed wild mushrooms.
